Spring Supper at Celis was birthed from a group of us envisioning an intimate dinner for those in the community. How can we bring people together and get them excited about an evening out? With so many ideas flying around we all decided the alley behind Celis would be perfect. Intimate, thoughtful, community gathering were words we based the event around. It was a group effort, we could have not done it without everyone getting excited and pitching in.
Alex from Celis and Ricky from Zipitio’s came up with the menu. Three course meal highlighting a latin flare and paired with wine. They had a whole team behind the scenes prepping and preparing each plate. All smiles might I add. We played off the atmosphere of the alley and brought in more plants, succulents, airplants and lots of candles. It was important to transform the alley into our very own dining room. Chris and Sonya of True Love Decor made that possible with all of their beautiful rental pieces. The tables, chairs, lights, old doors, dishes, napkins, flatware, goblets and the list goes on and on. Renee from Heartswell hand-lettered each menu and created tickets that each guest could take home. Kaylyn from Blindmonk picked the wines and came up with one of her signature cocktails to start off the evening. Her eye for detail and style were sprinkled around the event. Eddie & Caddy of Oak Media did an amazing job of capturing the event, climbing on roof tops and ladders to get the perfect shot. We had Jesse and Rachel’s VW bus, Flight 1050, there as the final touch. Ask them why it is called Flight 1050, it’s a really cute love story:).
We are already looking forward to planning the next one. I am excited to see how this community in WPB is growing and changing and people are supporting small businesses. We wouldn’t be able to do what we love if it wasn’t for a great community supporting all of us. Cheers to what is to come!
