I just had to share some more of these beautiful images that Jessica Lorren took for the Stylemaker interview that was in Luxe Interior + Design May/June issue. We had so much fun behind the scenes capturing moments at the shop. I have to be honest the shop never looked so good. Doing the interview too was interesting because it made me stop and think about how everything got started with my business and where it’s headed. On a day to day basis I don’t really think about those things. If you are thinking of pursuing your passion, whatever that is, I encourage you to! It’s not easy for sure but the things that move you are usually never easy. You have to fight for it. There are so many days that I want to give up, serisously so many days. But moments like this when someone wants to hear your story and shows that they believe in you, you begin to pick yourself back up and go for it again. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other. It’s intimidating putting your art out there for everyone to see. I am thankful for a community that has been gracious and welcoming with my business. I love working alongside so many other talented creatives and small business owners. I love when someone is raw and vulnerable about the struggles and the victories. I see it as we are all in this together, otherwise what’s the point. I would love for anyone reading this to share what there passion is or if they are pursuing their passion what have been the struggles and victories. I think we need to share our stories more, be honest, be vulnerable. There’s freedom in it! Hope everyone has a beautiful week. Check out my workshop tab on my website to come create with us!

So I am a little late posting this but oh well! I wanted to do something fun for Flower & Fringe’s 1 year anniversary. I had every intention of throwing a party but it was just too hectic. So instead I teamed up with Flight 1050 and Ian Joseph Jones Photography for this photoshoot. It was last minute, not really planned out but it came together just how I wanted it to.

I get asked a lot how long have you been doing flowers. Technically F&F is still in its beginning stages but I have been working with flowers since I was a kid. My aunt introduced me to the art and it has always been a passion of mine, hidden talent I guess. It was always a dream to have a flower shop but I didn’t think it would turn into a reality. Prior to flowers I had soooo many different jobs. Some fun, like yachting and some not so fun like the hearing aid company. I have moved and traveled and switched jobs and during those years I knew that God had put a passion in me but I didnt know exactly what it was. It was frustrating. I always loved art, creating, expressing myself. I thought I was going to be a fashion designer when I was highschool. So why for so many years was I at a desk filing papers and answering phone calls. I can now say that I wasnt ready for F&F. I needed time to grow up, learn life lessons. I still have a lot to learn. Alot of growing. In this past year I have learned so many lessons. There were days that I wanted to give up and move to another country. I say all this to encourage those that are on a path of figuring out what it is they were created for. This isnt my gift this is something that was created in me. I couldnt do what I am doing without the faith that I stand on. This art of creating flowers was something planted in me years ago and now it is finally blooming:) I am excited to see what the next year holds for F&F. I just want to thank everyone who has been encouraging me along this path. There have been days when someone has said something that has made it possible to keep moving forward. We need each other. We need community.

Had the pleasure of working with some really great people for this styled shoot. Onli Beverages is a local company with a great product. Love supporting and being apart of local businesses. Onli is launching a blog, TheOnliLife, which is why we got together with Photographer, Lauren Louise Photography and Wedding Planner, Jenny Does Weddings to create some pretty images for them. It was fun, pretty and colorful!!
